COSSA is excited to announce new student opportunities as part of the COSSA Science Policy Conference and Social Science Advocacy Day on March 29-30, 2017.

First, we are pleased to offer a reduced registration rate of $50 for students attending the conference (undergraduate and graduate students included). In addition, the conference will feature a number of sessions that may be of particular interest to students, covering topics such as:

  • Ways students in the social and behavioral sciences can organize on campus in support of their disciplines.
  • Social science in public service, featuring federal officials applying their expertise to government service, which may be of interest to students seeking non-academic careers.
  • Actions you can take from home to advocate for federal social science research funding.

PLUS, student attendees from member institutions will have an opportunity to participate in Social Science Advocacy Day on March 30 to meet with their elected officials in Congress!

All other (non-student) attendees should enter coupon code 2017!member when registering to receive the lowest possible rate. Early-bird rates expire January 31!

Interested students should send an email to jmilton@cossa.org with their name, university, program, and anticipated year of graduation to receive a personal student discount code. Attendees are responsible for their own travel arrangements and costs. Note: The COSSA hotel block closes on February 27.
