SRCD is seeking applications for the position of Editor of the SRCD newsletter, Developments (see Current and Recent Issues). The position begins in spring 2011 with a term of six years. The Editor is responsible for four issues (fall, winter, summer, and spring) each year. The Editor works to solicit, review, edit, and occasionally write the newsletter content. The staff in the SRCD Executive Office manages the technical aspects of the newsletter formatting and online distribution.The Editor is expected to be a member of SRCD with a sense of what issues may appeal to members. The Editor should have a clear vision of how the newsletter can contribute to the pursuit of SRCD's strategic plan (see Strategic Plan). Given that the newsletter is now distributed online, we are especially interested in applicants with a vision of how this medium may be used to membership experience of the newsletter. Finally, the nature of the newsletter requires that the Editor is able to meet publication deadlines. The current newsletter Editor, Karen Brakke (
