The University-Based Child and Family Policy Consortium, in collaboration with the Society for Research in Child Development, hosted a webinar on January 26, 2017 on family engagement and partnerships in rural communities.
This webinar featured a presentation by Dr. Susan Sheridan, Director of the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools (CYFS), Director of the National Center for Research on Rural Education (R2Ed), and a George Holmes University Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. This presentation was adapted from a plenary session at the 2016 National Research Conference on Early Childhood focused on the development of young children in rural communities. It was moderated by Dr. Ihemoa Iruka, Buffett Early Childhood Institute, University of Nebraska.
