The session will kick off with a comprehensive overview of the current academic job landscape, providing valuable insights into the diverse array of institutions, positions, and the key skills and qualifications sought by discerning hiring committees. Attendees will gain a nuanced understanding of the latest trends in these fields, with a focus on the impact of interdisciplinary research and the growing importance of diversity and inclusion. Drawing from personal experiences, Dr. Ip will share valuable insights gained from navigating the academic job market.
