Cornell Translational Research Summer Institute
Doing Research in Real-World Settings: Tools and Techniques for Success

Registration Information

Where: Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY

Cost:
Graduate students: $375
All other professionals: $450
Covers tuition, breakfast, lunch, snacks and materials

Who:
Ideal for early-career researchers (including advanced graduate students and post-docs) interested in conducting research in real-world settings and for established investigators who wish to develop expertise in conducting research with communities, agencies and organizations.

What:
The Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research is offering its 2nd annual Cornell Translational Research Summer Institute (CTRSI). Over several decades, the Bronfenbrenner Center has developed extensive expertise in conducting research in real-world settings and translating empirical findings into practice. Over the course of 2.5 days, the 2019 CTRSI will provide intensive training, discussion, and reflection on overcoming typical challenges in conducting research in real-world settings like service agencies, health care institutions, community organizations, and in other non-academic settings.

Each session of CTRSI 2019 will cover core principles and practices as well as solutions to key challenges researchers face in doing translational research. Using a workshop format, sessions will be tailored to address specific participant cases and challenges, while also providing general tips, tools, and techniques. By keeping enrollment limited, we will offer personalized feedback and address issues and challenges participants bring from their own work.

How:
The registration deadline is February 15th.

Registration for this event will be capped at 60 to assure a satisfying and productive participant experience. Registration information will be reviewed to assure representation across diverse professional background and participation goals.

To register, please visit the Summer Institute Registration page.
Acceptance status will be announced by February 25th. Payment is not due until registration is approved.
