Nomination Criteria by Position
SRCD President-Elect
To serve as President-Elect, the elected individual must be either:
- a Professional member of SRCD (with a doctoral degree or equivalent), or
- an LMIC (Low and Middle Income Contries) member of SRCD (with a doctoral degree or equivalent)
SRCD Treasurer
To serve as Treasurer, the elected individual must be either:
- a Professional member of SRCD (with a doctoral degree or equivalent), or
- an LMIC (Low and Middle Income Countries) member of SRCD (with a doctoral degree or equivalent).
This is a new position created with the recent changes to the bylaws. For additional details on qualifications and duties, see here.
SRCD Governing Council Members-At-Large
To serve as Members-At-Large on the Governing Council, those elected and appointed must be either:
- a Professional member of SRCD (with a doctoral degree or equivalent),
- an Early Career member of SRCD (with a doctoral degree or equivalent), or
- an LMIC (Low and Middle Income Countries) member of SRCD (with a doctoral degree or equivalent).
Each nomination requires the nominee’s curriculum vitae and a brief statement of their interests and qualifications.
SRCD Committee Members
To serve as a member of an SRCD Committee, appointees must be either:
- a Professional member of SRCD (with a doctoral degree or equivalent),
- an Early Career member of SRCD (with a doctoral degree or equivalent), or
- an LMIC (Low and Middle Income Countries) member of SRCD (with a doctoral degree or equivalent).
Each nomination requires the nominee’s curriculum vitae and a brief statement of their interests and qualifications.
Student and Early Career Council (SECC) Representatives to SRCD Committees
To serve as a SECC Representative to SRCD Committees, those elected must be:
- in their second year of doctoral studies and beyond, but no more than one (1) year post-doctoral degree (or equivalent).
Preference will be given to nominees who have been an SRCD member for at least a year. Each nomination requires the nominee’s curriculum vitae.
