National Academies to Address School Reopening
Posted on behalf of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
Last week, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine began a study to help educators and administrators formulate their COVID-19 responses and provide guidance on their plans for reopening. Study chair, Enriqueta Bond, answered some key questions about what this guidance will tell educators and administrators who are working on their COVID-19 responses.
The study will address key questions that have emerged from state and district COVID-19 planning efforts, including how COVID-19 safety decisions and practices can avoid reinforcing existing inequities in instruction and facilities.
