Do you have an active NSF award or one that expired less than five years ago? If you were a principal investigator (PI), co-PI, postdoc or senior personnel on the award or project, then you may be eligible for NSF’s Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program.
Over the course of seven weeks, scientists and engineers in the I-Corps program will learn the value of customer discovery and how to identify the commercial potential of their NSF-funded academic research from established entrepreneurs.
You and your team receive mentoring, entrepreneurial training and $50,000 for customer discovery.

The National Science Foundation I-Corps program prepares scientists and engineers to extend their focus beyond the university laboratory and accelerates the economic and societal benefits of NSF-funded, basic-research projects that are ready to move toward commercialization. Through I-Corps, NSF grantees learn to identify valuable product opportunities that can emerge from academic research, and gain skills in entrepreneurship through training in customer discovery and guidance from established entrepreneurs. www.nsf.gov/icorps
