
Juan Romero-Casillas is the Policy Manager at SRCD. In this role, Juan supports SRCD and its partners in advancing evidence-based child and family policymaking. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and from The George Washington University with a graduate degree in Public Policy. Before joining SRCD, Juan worked as a Program Manager at UnidosUs, where he led the Líderes Avanzando Fellowship program. Juan also worked as a Senior Associate at Penn Hill Group, in supporting various clients in their education and workforce policy agenda while covering issues like higher education accessibility and affordability, K-12 and adult education. Furthermore, he worked as a Contract Specialist at the Library of Congress, as a Library Director for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and as a math teacher for a non-profit organization in Puerto Rico. He has also interned for the U.S. Congress and at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
