Consortium of Social Science Associations
SRCD is a governing member of the Consortium of Social Science Associations (COSSA) is a nonprofit advocacy organization working to promote sustainable federal funding for and widespread use of social and behavioral science research and federal policies that positively impact the conduct of research. COSSA serves as a united voice for a broad, diverse network of organizations, institutions, communities, and stakeholders who care about a successful and vibrant social science research enterprise. The COSSA membership includes professional and disciplinary associations, scientific societies, research centers and institutes, and U.S. colleges and universities. With COSSA’s support, SRCD members help us advocate for science funding as part of their annual spring “Advocacy Day.”

Federation of Associations in Behavioral and Brain Sciences (FABBS)
SRCD is a governing member of the Federation of Associations in Behavioral & Brain Sciences (FABBS). FABBS is a coalition of scientific societies that share an interest in advancing the sciences of mind, brain, and behavior. FABBS communicates the importance and contributions of basic and applied research in these areas to policy makers and the public. They promote human potential and well-being by advancing the sciences of mind, brain, and behavior; promoting scientific research and training in these fields; educating the public about the contributions of research to the health and well-being of individuals and society; fostering communication among scientists; and recognizing scientists who have made significant contributions to building knowledge.
Ad Hoc Group for Medical Research
The Ad Hoc Group for Medical Research (AAMC) is a coalition of nearly 400 patient and voluntary health groups, medical and scientific societies, academic and research organizations, and industry. The Ad Hoc Group has one mission: to enhance the federal investment in biomedical, behavioral, social, and population-based research by increasing the funding for the National Institutes of Health.
American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)'s Science and Human Rights Coalition
The AAAS Science and Human Rights Coalition is a network of scientific and engineering membership organizations that recognize the role for scientists and engineers in human rights. The Coalition currently has 22 member and 2 affiliated organizations.
Coalition for National Science Funding (CNSF)
The Coalition for National Science Funding (CNSF) is an alliance of over 140 professional organizations, universities and businesses united by a concern for the future vitality of the national science, mathematics, and engineering enterprise. CNSF supports the goal of increasing the national investment in the National Science Foundation's research and education programs in response to the unprecedented scientific, technological and economic opportunities facing the United States.
Friends of Institute for Education Sciences (IES)
The Friends of IES represents more than 40 scientific associations, education organizations, universities, and research institutions that support the critical research, data, statistics, and evaluation programs that occurs at the Institute of Education Sciences.
Friends of National Institute of Child Health and Human Development
The Friends of NICHD is an independent coalition of more than 100 organizations formed in the mid-1980s to support the important role of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). The member organizations represent scientists, physicians, health care providers, patients and parents concerned with the health and welfare of women, children, families and people with disabilities.
Friends of National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)
The Friends of NIMH coalition is dedicated to supporting the mission of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) to transform the understanding of mental health and the treatment of mental illnesses through basic biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research, to best inform prevention, early intervention, recovery, and cures. Member organizations represent scientists, physicians, health care providers, individuals, families, and communities.
Research!America
Research!America is a non-profit medical and health research advocacy alliance, representing a vast array of medical, health and scientific fields. SRCD works in coalition with Research!America via COSSA. Their work consists of increasing awareness about the multi-faceted, multi-generational, impact of fast-paced medical and public health progress. They also work on advocacy efforts for funding growth at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Science Foundation (NSF), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), and Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
