Recent decades have been marked by rapidly changing contexts that require adaptation for children and their families. A significant aspect of this evolving context is the advancement of technology. Given the critical importance and widespread availability of technology, including screens, social media, and, most recently, artificial intelligence, it is vital to understand its impact on child development.

To address this topic, the SRCD Interdisciplinary Committee has organized a webinar that will feature panelists from several disciplines. They will provide perspectives on the positive impacts of technology, such as its use in education and healthcare, as well as concerns surrounding its use, including ethical considerations affecting children. Notably, the webinar will explore and discuss a forward-looking agenda for interdisciplinary and collaborative research efforts. These efforts aim to address the challenges and opportunities that the next decade will present in developmental science.
