SRCD HOUSING INFORMATION

If you are experiencing any difficulty with housing reservations during the SRCD25, please email the Meet Minneapolis Housing customer service agents at housing@minneapolis.org. In the event you need to cancel your housing reservation, please email us the request with your reason for canceling.

HOUSING CANCELLATION POLICY

A major credit card is required to secure your room(s). After Tuesday, April 1, 2025, cancels will be charged a $100.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 72 hours prior to the day of arrival will be charged one night’s room and tax. Early departures are subject to penalty fees set by the hotel. Failure to check-in (no-show) will result in a charge for one night’s room and tax. Credit cards will only be charged if cancelled within the penalty period.

All Gender Restrooms

The SRCD 2025 Biennial Meeting will offer bathroom facilities that are physically accessible (ADA compliant) and open to people of all genders. All bathrooms include accessible stalls. There are gender-neutral family bathrooms located on Level Two, Level One and the Lower Level.

Onsite Child Care - Minneapolis Convention Center

Location: Minneapolis Convention Center

KiddieCorp is pleased to provide a children’s program during the 2025 SRCD Biennial Meeting.

  • Registration is now OPEN!. You are welcome to register on-site. However, there is no guarantee, as registration is handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Cost: $10 per hour, per child. Children must be registered for a minimum of two consecutive hours per child for each day registered.

Food and Coffee Outlets

Food and coffee will be available for purchase in Hall B during Exhibit Hall hours. There will be ample seating for dining and networking available in the Exhibit Hall and throughout the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Poster Printing

The Minneapolis Convention Center does not offer on-site printing services. However, printing services are offered at FedEx Office Print & Ship Center located at 1300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55403 (located inside the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis on the 2nd Floor).

Mobility Scooter Rental

For your convenience, mobility equipment is available for rent at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The Minneapolis Convention Center has both power-operated vehicles (scooters) and manual wheelchairs, which may be rented at the Visitor Information Center located on the ground floor at the main entrance. Currently, pre-registration is not available. Equipment should be returned to the Visitor Information Center each day.

All transactions must be processed with Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Checks and cash cannot be accepted.

Scooters: $50 per day
Wheelchairs: $20 per day

Security

If you need assistance during your visit, please call the Command Center at (612) 335-6040. Please note our awareness campaign, If You SEE Something, SAY Something. If you see or experience anything that’s suspicious or out of the norm, or if you spot any unattended items, bags, or packages, please let the Command Center or a uniformed patrol officer know right away.

Approachable and welcoming, uniformed security officers can answer questions, give directions, and help with security issues. If you need assistance while walking throughout the lobbies, our uniformed security officers are posted at security podiums throughout Level One.

Visitor Information Center (VIC)

The Visitor Information Center (VIC) is conveniently located on Level One in the main lobby of the Minneapolis Convention Center. Concierges can provide directions, building information, wheelchair/scooter rental and accessibility information, and other Minneapolis hospitality and tourist information including:

  • Hours of Operation: VIC is open Daily from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Wi-Fi is available throughout the Minneapolis Convention Center
  • Hospitality opportunities, convention facility information and tourism attractions
  • Historic, cultural and educational resources
  • Convenience and traveler services
  • Brochures, maps, magazines and other hospitality publications are available for guests to collect and reference

Special Rooms

Networking

The SRCD Networking Rooms are available for informal gatherings and topic-based discussions. These rooms will be set up with round tables and can hold up to 40 people. No audio-visual equipment will be available.

Location: Lounge A and Lounge B (Alice Rainville Room). Both rooms are located on Level Two of the Minneapolis Convention Center 

Nursing

Two private nursing rooms will be open during regular meeting hours located on the second floor. One is in the same hallway as the Seasons room and the other is near the elevator and restrooms. Both rooms have refrigerators and an access code. 

Ombuds

Ombuds services are offered throughout the SRCD Biennial meeting to provide a fair, equitable, respectful, and harassment-free environment for all.

SECC Lounge

SECC has been assigned a place for networking opportunities and coffee, tea, and water service (during programing hours).

Location: Rooms 101F/101G (located on Level One of the Minneapolis Convention Center) 

Speaker Ready/Press Room

This is a multi-purpose space designated for presenters/speakers/press to prepare their session times.

Location: Room 201A (located on Level Two of the Minneapolis Convention Center) 

Reflection/Prayer Room Level

A space set up for private reflection and specifically arranged to support and facilitate Muslim prayer and all attendees of all faith backgrounds. Open to all attendees.

Location: Room 201B (located on Level Two of the Minneapolis Convention Center) 

Zen Room

What Is a Zen Room? This is a multi-purpose space that’s dedicated to noise-free activities. Most of the time, these activities are for stress relief, getting away from everything for a few minutes, catching your breath, slowing your heart rate, and dialing down the madness. Open to all attendees.
